본 연구는 제 7차 중학교 9종 음악교과서에 수록된 음악 감상 제재곡을 분석하고 그에 따른 개선방안 을 마련하여 음악감상을 음악교육의 한 영역으로 올바른 자리 매김을 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 9종의 음악교과서를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 작곡가와 시대별 분포는 여전히 고전과 낭만에 치중되었고 현대 음악에 대한 비율이 매우 낮았다. 기존의 교과서에 비해 전통음악의 비율이 신장되었으나 아직도 서양 음악 중심의 감상곡이 주를 이루고 있다. 또한 곡의 난이도가 적절히 이루어지지 않았으며 각 출판 사에 따른 감상곡의 편차가 심하였다. 따라서 보다 나은 음악감상교육을 위하여 교과서가 갖는 중요성을 재인식하여 학생들이 다양한 음악감상을 할 수 있도록 하며, 가창 중심의 교과서에서 가창, 기악, 창작, 활동 영역간의 균형 있는 교과서의 편찬을 기대한다.
The current music class tends to focus on singing and music theory in spite of the importance of music listening. The purpose of this paper is to analyes the appreciative area of the 9 text books suggest the improvement plans for a music listening class. The results of the analysis follow 1. The music text books are still focused on the Classic and Romantic period. Due to the low proportion of the Contemporary music in the text books, it is desirable to include various periods of music. 2. Even if the 7th curriclum text books emphasize on Korean traditional music, Western music are more prominent in all of the text books. In order for our students to understand Korean music better, Korean music should be more included. 3. The music genre is limited to orchestra pieces. Therefore, the text books should include various music genres, such as solo instrument pieces, duet, trio, string quartet, and so on. In conclusion, the next text books should include various periods of music with all kinds of different genres, various composers and Korean traditional music. In addition, teachers try to provide students with well balanced music environment.
