본 연구는 여성리더십교육에 참여한 성인학습자들의 학습경험을 살펴보고, 그 경험의 본질적인 의미를 탐색하고자 인터뷰를 통해 자료를 수집한 후, 이를 현상학적 접근으로 분석 및 해석하였다. 연구결과, 성인학습자들이 여성리더십교육에 참여한 동기는 주로 주변 권유 및 추천에 의한 ‘수동적인 자발적 참여’, 관심과 열정에 의한 ‘주도적인 자발적 참여’, 리더로서의 역량 개발을 위한 ‘의식적인 자발적 참여’로 나타났다. 그리고 여성리더십교육 참여 이후, 변화된 모습으로는 ‘반성 및 성찰을 통한 내적 성장’, ‘성장을 위한 자신감 회복’, ‘긍정적인 사고로 의 전환’, ‘새로운 직업세계로의 도전’, ‘지역의 정치 및 사회활동 참여’ 등으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로 여성리더십교육 경험이 갖는 의미는 ‘변화와 성장을 위해 진정한 나를 찾는 자극제이자 원동력’으로 도출되었다.
This paper focuses on finding the intrinsic meaning of the adult learners’ learning experience. For this we interviewed the adult learners who participate the women leadership education, and analyzed and interpreted the gather data with phenomenological point of view. The study indicated that the motive of adult learners who participate in the women leadership education come out mainly 'the participation of passive voluntary' by surrounding suggestion and recommendation, 'the participation of a leading voluntary' by concern and passion, 'the participation of self-conscious' by capacity development as a leader. And after the education, participants showed that it is to take the form of 'self-reflection and introspection through internal growth', 'self-confidence recovery for growth', 'transition into positive idea', 'challenge to new occupation world', 'local politics and social activity participation'. Based on the result from the research, the meaning of participating women’s leadership education can be defined as 'motivator for finding self for changing and growing'.
