본 연구는 시각장애학교 저시력 학생 중 전자독서확대기를 사용하여 학습하는 학생들을 대상으로 전자 독서확대기 사용 실태를 조사하고, 사용 방법에 대한 문제점을 파악하여 개선 방안 제시를 목적으로 전 국 5개의 시각장애학교에 재학 중인 저시력 학생 중 전자독서확대기를 학습에 이용하는 42명의 학생을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였으며 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 저시력학생이 전자독서확대 기를 이용하여 학습을 함에 있어 더욱 효율적인 학습을 얻기 위해서는 학생의 시력 특성을 파악하고 단계 적인 적응 훈련 및 학생에서 맞는 설정지도를 위한 학교별 지도 체계 확립이 필요하다. 둘째, 현재 학교 에서 사용하고 있는 전자독서확대기는 노후화된 기종이 많은데 기기의 고장이나 성능의 문제로 학습 효율 이 떨어지는 일이 없도록 노후화된 기기의 수리, 교체 및 지속적인 관리가 필요하다.
The purpose of this study is to research the utilization of electronic reading magnifier for students who are learning with using electronic reading magnifier, and identify the problems of usage and guidance. To support the improvement of the usage and guidance, 42 students who use electronic reading magnifier for learning, of 5 schools nationwide participated in this study and it has two results below. First, for those students have low vision, to get more learning efficiency in using electronic reading magnifier, each school needs to understand the Characteristics of their sight and establish teaching method for guidance have to be appropriate to students. Second, to improve the device and student’s learning efficiency, it is very important for the device to be continuously managed and replaced with new one.
