본 사례 연구는 경남지속가능발전교육연구회가 국제이해교육(Education for International Understanding)을 기반으로 지속가능발전교육 (Education for Sustainable Development) 을 실천한 결과와 과정을 기록 한 것이다. 연구의 주요한 활동은 EIU / ESD 교사연수와 학생지도에 중심 을 두어 왔으며 그 결과 특수분야 직무 연수와 교육청주최 직무연수를 운영 하였고, 유네스코한국위원회 공식 프로젝트로 지정되었다. 또한 한국국제이 해교육학회로부터 기관회원으로 인정을 받았으며 현재 교사 연수 활동을 꾸 준히 실천하고 있다. 2012학년도에는 ‘Yahoe(Youth association for hope & education) 세계 시민교실’이라는 주제로 교사직무연수를 비롯한 초․ 중․고 연계 창의적 체험활동의 동아리 영역의 지속가능발전교육을 적용한 프로그램을 활용한 수업모듈 개발 및 적용을 통해 수업 개선에 이바지 해 오고 있으며 Skype활용국제교류수업으로 나눔의 정신을 실천하였다.
This case study has been recorded in the results and progress of ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) based on EIU(Education for International Understanding) in a real situation by an ESD research organization in GyeongNam Province. The organization has been focused on the EIU/ESD training program for the teachers and teaching students. As a result of their efforts, the Department of Education has sponsored their programs for teachers and these programs have been designated as a formal project of UNESCO Korea. This ESD research organization was appointed an authority member of the EIU Society of Korea and it has been running training program for teachers consistently. In 2012, with the name “Yahoe(Youth association for hope & education) - class for global citizens”, this organization has developed and conducted job training for teachers, and a teaching module of ESD creative activities linked to elementary to high schools such as a culture exchange class using Skype.
