The purpose of this study was to examine certain aspects of literature activities that have
abundant components of educational group activities, and whether the age and level differences
in children were reflected. In order to examine the areas mentioned above, literature activities
such as listening to a fairy tale, appreciating a poem, and playing with a fairy tale in 1,680
daily lesson plans written by 9 teachers in charge of 3, 4, 5-year-old classes were analyzed. The
results of the analysis are as follows: 1) There were remarkable gaps among the number of
literature activities and an imbalance of activity arrangement; 2) The number and duration of
literature activities did not seem to consider the children\'s age differences; 3) As for the goal
description of literature activities, there was the partiality of goal categories; 4) There were
many cases in which fairy tales were not described; and 5) the ratio of plane materials were
higher than the solid. Also, the differences among 3 ages in material types were not revealed.
Implications from the above results suggest that teachers should consider the age and
developmental differences when creating lesson plans; furthermore, students should be taught
according to their level.
