The purpose of this study was to investigate that jazz dance exercise during 8-week had some effect on body composition,
blood variables, and physical self-description of overweight female university students. Eighteen female participants(jazz dance
exercise group: N=9; control group: N=9) were collected and treated this study as subjects. Subjects received jazz dance

the 8-week of jazz dance exercise. However, lean body mass was significant increased after the 8-week of jazz dance
exercise(p<.05). Second, on blood lipid level, participants showed significant improves in TG, TC, HDL-C, and LDL-C after the
8-week of jazz dance exercise(p<.01). Third, on physical self-description, participants showed significant improves in body
fat(p<.05), appearance(p<.001), health(p<.01), physical activity(p<.001), self-esteem(p<.01), flexibility(p<.001), and endurance(p<.001)
