본 연구는 유아교육과를 지망한 고등학교 3학년 수험생의 유아교사에 대한 이미지를 살펴보는데 목적 이 있다. 연구 참여자는 P광역시 소재 3년제 유아교육과를 수시 1차 지원에 지망한 고3 수험생 322명 이었다. 연구 자료는 유아교사 이미지에 관한 설문지, e-mail 및 전화면접을 기록한 전사지 등으로 수 집된 자료의 빈도 및 내용 분석을 실시한 결과 유아교육과를 지망한 수험생의 유아교사에 대한 이미지 는 크게 4가지의 속성인 정서적이미지, 역할이미지, 직업이미지, 자아성장이미지 등으로 범주화되었 다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 예비유아교사 양성과정에 반영하기 위해 논의하고자 한다.
The purpose of this study is candidates who are applying to the major of Early Childhood Education about image of early childhood education teacher. Study participants were 322 candidates who applied to the three-year course at the Department of Early Childhood Education in P Metropolitan City. Research materials for this study were questionnaires regarding the image of early childhood education teachers; e-mails; and transcripts of recorded telephone interviews. According to the frequency of the collected data and the results of the analysis contents, the students' images of early childhood education teachers were classified into four main categories. The main categories were: emotion, role, career, and self-improvement. I would like to discuss how these study results can be reflected in the course for early childhood education teacher's education.
