This study aimed to enhance child's adjustment based on a positive aspect by investigating the
effects of child’s gender, extro/introvert character, and social support on the ego-resilience. This
study targeted 729 children in the 5-6th grade. The study results are summarized as follows.
First, it had a signifiant difference in the subfactor of ego-resilience(personal relationship) by
the child’s gender. The female child perceived it higher than the male child. Second, it had a signifiant
difference in the ego-resilience by the child's extro/introvert character. The extrovert character was
perceived higher than the introvert character. Third, as a result of examining the effects of child's
gender, extro/introvert character and social support on the ego-resilience, it had a signifiant difference
in the ego-resilience by the child’s extro/introvert character and social support, Considering the results
of this study, since it turned out that the child's extro/introvert character and social support affected
the ego-resilience, it needs an encouragement for the child’s extrovert character. The recognition
is developed in that the parent's social support is essential for promoting the ego-resilience.
