This study aimed to provide basic information for more accurate selection and diagnoses of ADHD
and education for parents and teacher through exploring general trends of ADHD and the difference
of recognition between mother and teacher with primary school year 1 children.
The results with research problems of this study as the central figure are following.
First, the rating of teacher was higher than mother’s in frequency of ADHD child. Besides, ADHD
tendency of children was revealed as rating of teacher was 116(18.8%) and rating of mother was
35(5.7%) out of 618 withabove average ADHD tendency in primary school year 1.
Second, hyperactivity was highest then impulsivity, inattention in order resulting in ratings by
teacher and mother with ADHD low rank factors.
Third, ADHD tendency of children was perceived by mother and teacher showed meaningful
difference in three low rank factors of the whole ADHD tendency and was perceived by mother
and teacher with average and above average. Especially, the difference of recognition in the inattention
tendency of low rank factors were showed meaningfully higher.
