The purpose of this study is to look into the divorce process in terms of family career framework by investigating the major life events of a divorced woman and the connection between family career framework before and after marriage. This study also looked into how this connection influences the divorce process. For the study, an in-depth interview was done with a divorced woman. The results were as follows: First, the major life events and family career framework of divorced woman influences unconsciously on the mate selection. Second, deciding to get divorced is the last choice and the divorce process has 4 stages. Third, the family career framework before marriage influences on the mate selection and the family career framework after marriage. Fourth, the family career framework is the major factor in decision making of divorce. The view point of the family career framework can be used for divorce process analysis and the divorce counselling.
