A comprehensive analysis on safety issues related to a playground is the ultimate goal of this research. The research also tried to define qualifications which allow children could have fun in a safe environment by looking into a research done by developed countries and using other resources. To increase the objectivity, the research tried to divide a level of safety supervision in each playground into several subcategories and analyzed possible risk factors accordingly. After a thorough comparative-analysis, the research came up with the conclusion that a current level of safety supervision has many risk factors regarding to the safety. The purpose of this study to examine for outdoor facilities safety in the outdoor playground. The subjects for this study were 20 outdoor playgrounds located in apartment sites in B city. The time of survey was in April 2008, data were analyzed into frequency, percentage. A good playground should be equipped with facilities that could support and stimulate children’s activities. Most of all, the playground should be designed, built, and managed around safety. Creating a safe environment for children is especially important due to the fact that the ability to recognize and predict is generally low among children, and in turns, they could be affected severely by risk factors.
