The purpose of this study is to examine the Case Management System at the
Community Self-Sufficiency Center in Korea. For 2000 years, the National Basic
Livelihood Security System has provided Self-Sufficiency Programs in Korea.
However, we knew that there were many barriers to Self-Sufficiency Programs,
especially in Case Management Systems. I used a very dependable Modified
Grounded Theory Approach to analyze this Case Management System within the
context of the Self-Sufficiency Program.
The Data was collected from 13 practitioners in 9 Community Self-Sufficiency
Centers in 2009 and 2010. The result of this study is the following: Within the
local communities, Self-Sufficiency Centers and Case Management System within
the Self-Sufficiency Program didn't work very well and we need to systematically
manage the Self-Sufficiency Program more thoroughly.
