This study presents the results of the images of child-educare teachers reproduced by prospect child-educare teachers based on the vague images they used to have through small group discussion activities with photos. The subjects were selected through purposeful sampling and include 74 freshmen from the Department of Education for Infants and Young Children at a university in Gyeonggi Province. The main methodology was discussion activities on the images of child-educare teachers with photos with individual interviews and writing about the images of child-educare teachers added. The research findings were as follows: The images of child-educare teachers the prospect child-educare teachers had were divided into "double roles" and "all-round player." First, the image of "double roles" was expressed in such roles as a difficult gatekeeper, protector of love, and future guide. All those meanings were complicatedly connected to ambivalent emotions about the realistic problems and hope for the future. Secondly, the image of "all-round player" includes the roles as a trouble-solving broker for various issues and supporter for young children. Child-educare teachers were regarded as those who had diverse talents, made proper responses to young children's individual demands, supported them, and figure out their future with them.
