The purpose of this study is to define basic directions for cultivation of marine tourism professionals and to develop objective and reasonable curricula based on the defined direction. The most important thing to consider when developing such curricula is to clarify definition of marine tourism and marine tourism professionals and purpose of their cultivation agreed by experts in the field in order to provide the basis for development of each areas of professional curricula. Thereupon, Delphi expert survey, a way to collect opinions of experts related to the field, was executed total 3 times. The result follows. First, marine tourism was defined as acts of experiencing various marine culture (including experiencing and watching, recreation and leisure sports activities) in marine space away from ordinary life in order to pursue new things or changes. Marine tourism professional was defined as specialists in the business who can develop, plan, operate and train activities and environments for marine tourism. The purposes of cultivating marine tourism professionals were defined as activating marine tourism and securing business expertism for development, planning, operation and training of marine tourism with expert knowledge, skills and information for marine tourists. Lastly, cultivation of marine tourism professionals was specified to have 3 categories: marine tourism management professionals (including marine tourism planning expert, marine tourism marketing expert, marine tourism facility management expert and marine tourism service expert), marine tourism contents professionals (including marine leisure sports expert and marine tourism experience expert) and marine tourism policy professionals (including marine tourism policy expert).
