일하고 싶은 직장의 핵심개념 중의 하나인 지각된 웰니스는 5가지 하위요소로 구성되어 있다(Adams, Bezner, Garner, & Woodruff, 1998). 그러나 이러한 지각된 웰니스 구성개념을 고려해 볼 때 웰니스의 지수(수준)를 단일차원구성개념으로 해석할 것인지 아니면 다차원구성개념으로 해석할 것인가에 대한 논의 없이 현재는 단일차원의 합산모형으로 그 결과를 해석하고 활용해 오고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여러 하위차원으로 구성되어 있는 웰니스의 지수(수준)를 다차원구성개념으로 해석하고 활용할 수 있는 가능성에 대해 Law, Wong, & Mobley(1998)이 제시한 개념적 접근을 토대로 제시하였다. 결론으로 웰니스 지수(수준)를 활용하는데 있어 보다 풍부한 정보를 획득하기 위해서는 웰니스 지수의 다차원구성개념으로서의 해석이 필요함을 제안하였다.
Perceived wellness, as one of the key constructs of 'great workplace: GWP', consists of five constructs(Adams, Bezner, Garner, & Woodruff, 1998). However, taking into account the multidimensional construct of perceived wellness, without having any consensus on whether the index(level) of perceived wellness should be considered as single dimensional construct of multidimensional construct, perceived wellness has been understood as single dimensional construct. Therefore, I reviewed the possibility of multidimensional construct of perceived wellness in terms of interpretation of wellness index(level) by using conceptual framework of Law, Wong, & Mobley(1998). Consequentially, I proposed multidimensional construct of wellness index(level) to get more useful and meaning information in terms of operating wellness programs.
