본 논문은 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동에 대한 기존 연구에 대한 동향과 제한점을 논의 하면서 보다 효과적인 치료개입을 위한 통합적이고 절충적인 방법을 제안하고 있다.약물치 료에 병행하여 자주 사용하는 인지행동치료와 기타 치료방법에 대한 한계점을 보완하기 위해 애착이론의 관점에서 ADHD의 문제를 바라보는 한편,가족치료의 여러 관점에 근거하여 임 상실제에 절충적 포괄적으로 사용할 수 있는 방안들에 대해 제안하고 있다.아동의 ADHD 증상은 부모나 가족 구성원간의 역기능적인 상호작용을 통해서 악순환이 반복됨으로써 심화 되기 때문에 조기에 효과적인 개입이 필수적이다.ADHD 문제는 개인과 가정 차원의 문제를 떠나 사회적 비용이 크기 때문에 차후 보다 포괄적인 개입방법에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어 져야 한다
This paper suggested family-oriented therapeutic interventions from more eclectic approaches by discussingcurrenttrendsofinventionsand theirlimitation oftreating children withattention deficit/ hyperactivitydisorder(ADHD).Combinedwithmedicationregimen,cognitivebehavioraltherapyandother interventionssuchasarttherapyandparentingeducationhavebeenutilizedforADHD childrenand parents.Tocomplementthelimitationofsuchcurrentapproaches,thispaperexaminedsomealternative approachesbased on the attachmenttheory and suggested thatfamily counselorapply attachment theory-based interventionsand otherinterventionsthaareempirically proven to beefficaciouswhen workingwithchildrenwithADHD andtheirfamily.Furthermore,itisrecommendedthatmorestudies shouldbeconductedtodevelopmorecomprehensiveandeclecticapproachesforchildrenwithADHD and theirfamilies
