본 연구는 현대 가족의 모습을 사실적이고도 역설적으로 묘사하고 있는 한성옥(2006a)의 그림책 『행 복한 우리가족』에 나타난 현대 부모의 양육관을 살펴보고자, 글과 그림텍스트의 내용을 분석하였다. 연구결과,『행복한 우리가족』에 나타난 현대 부모의 양육관은 첫째, 애정적이지만 이기적인 양육관, 둘째, 자율성을 존중하지만 훈육이 부재한 양육관, 셋째, 자기만족적이지만 과시적인 양육관으로 분 석되었다. 이를 통해 『행복한 우리가족』은 긍정적인 면과 부정적인 면이 공존하는 현대 부모의 양면 적인 양육관을 보여주고 있고, 이러한 양육관은 특정 부모의 것이 아닌 현대 부모들의 전반적인 문화 로 나타나고 있다는 점, 또한 이 작품은 글과 그림이 통합된 그림책의 속성을 잘 활용하여 현대 부모 의 양육관을 풍자적으로 드러내고 있으며, 이를 활용한 유아교육 현장에의 적용 가능성에 대해서 논 의하였다.
This study analyzes the view on childbearing of modern parents in Han Sung Ok's picturebook, 『Happy my family』, that shows the modern family's life realistically and paradoxically. The research methodology employs the content analysis of the words and pictures in 『Happy my family』. The major findings of this study are as follows: First, the view on childbearing of modern parents is affectional but self-centered. Second, the view on childbearing of modern parents is apprising of child's autonomy but absence of moral education. Third, the view on childbearing of modern parents is self-satisfied but show offish. In conclusion,『Happy my family』represents the view on childbearing that has ambivalent characteristic and also demonstrates that these viewpoints are not distinguishing feature of one parent but general culture of modern parents. In addition, 『Happy my family』 mercilessly lampoons the view on childbearing of modern parents using the quality of picturebooks which combine words and pictures. And these findings are applicable to the practice of early childhood education.
