본 연구는 장애여성들의 결혼생활 실태 및 이들의 결혼불안정성 수준을 살펴보는 탐색적 연구이 다. 이를 위하여 기혼 장애여성들을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 이들의 결혼생활과 관련된 문제 및 욕 구를 파악하고, 결혼불안정성 지수를 통해 이혼경향성을 살펴보았다. 본 연구결과에서 장애여성들이 경험하는 가장 심각한 어려움 및 서비스 욕구는 경제적 영역과 의료적 영역이 가장 높은 비율로 나 타났다. 한편, 장애여성들의 이혼경향성을 나타내는 결혼불안정성 지수(Marital Instability Index)에서 조 사대상자들은 결혼생활에 문제가 있다거나 이혼이나 별거를 생각한 경우가 전체 응답자의 3분의 1이 상을 차지하고 있었다. 또한, 이혼가능성이 상당히 높은 이혼경향성 38%이상에 해당하는 조사대상자 도 14.4%를 차지하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 특히, 결혼형태, 장애등급, 가구소득 요인에 따라 결혼불안정성이 달라지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 장애여성들의 결혼안정성 강화 및 이들의 결혼생활에 대한 지원을 위한 사회복지적 개입방안이 논의되었다.
This study explores of marital life of women with disability focusing on marital instability. For the study, 113 married women with disability were participated and structured instrument was used. The study results are followings. Respondents experience the financial and health problem as the most serious problems in their life and also they want social services of financial support and health care. Regarding marital instability, respondents showed relatively high level of marital instability and also the risk of divorce was relatively high. This study examined that marital instability can be affected by the variables of type of marriage, severity of disability, and family income. The social interventions to improve marital stability for women with disability and supports to their families were suggested based on the study results.
