자활사업 참여자를 위한 전문가 지지는 성공적인 경제적 자활에 중요한 영향을 미친다고 알려져 있으나, 그에 대한 실증적 연구는 미진하다. 이에 본 연구는 자활사업 참여자들의 경 제적 자활에 미치는 전문가 지지의 영향력을 검증하고, 이 관계에서의 근로희망의 매개효과 를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 전국 지역자활센터 자활사업 참여자 454명을 대상으로 자료를 수 집하여, 다중회귀분석으로 연구모형을 검증하고, Sobel test를 통해 근로희망의 매개효과를 분 석하였다. 주요 연구 결과로서, 근로희망이 전문가 지지와 경제적 자활간의 관계를 완전 매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 전문가 지지가 경제적 자활을 직접적으로 증가시키기 보다는 근로 희망 증진을 통해 경제적 자활에 영향을 미침을 알 수 있다. 이를 토대로, 자활사업 전문가에 대한 사회복지 교육에 있어, 전문가 지지와 근로희망을 강조한 교육내용의 중요성을 제언하 였다.
Although it has been known that professional support for self-sufficiency program participants makes an important effect on successful economic self-sufficiency, there has been little empirical study on the subject. Therefore, this study examines the degree of the effect of professional support on economic self-sufficiency of the program participants, and analyzes the mediating effect of work hope. For this purpose, data were driven from 454 participants selected from the self-sufficiency centers national-wide, multivariate regression was used to test the model, and Sobel test was used to analyse the mediating effect of work hope. The result demonstrates that work hope fully mediating the relationship between professional support and successful economic self-sufficiency. That is, professional support does not directly increase successful economic self-sufficiency but it improves economic self-sufficiency by increasing participants’ work hope. Based on these findings, it is suggested to emphasize the importance of education contents of professional support and work hope in the social work education program for job training center specialists.
