Depending on the later Wittgenstein, Rorty's pragmatism asserts the death of the pure philosophy. I criticize Rorty's New pragmatism in the perspective of the later Wittgenstein's philosophy as follows; (1) Rorty fails to distinguish between the transcendent and the transcendental. Therefore Rorty's argument against the transcendent does not imply the impossibility of the transcendental. (2) Wittgenstein's philosophical activity to draw the limit of the language is the logical, grammatical and transcendental activity. Although the theory of the transcendental philosophy is denied, it doesn't imply the transcendental activity of philosophy. (3) Wittgenstein in Philosophical investigations does not assert that the concept of the necessity is useless. Rather he recommends to describe the diverse use of the necessity. (4) The necessity or the normativity is the limit condition of our thought and action. (5) The “bad metaphysics” ignores this limit condition and the human finitude. (6) The self-reference of the transcendental argument is dissolved by the 'language-activity' which is the ground of the ordinary language. (7) To accept the given or the limit condition is not the matter of the reason, but the matter of the will.
