본 연구는 학교현장에서 시행되고 있는 장애이해교육의 실태 및 인식을 조사하여, 장애 학생들에 대한 올바른 인식을 위한 장애이해교육의 나아갈 방향을 밝히고자 하였다. 이에 대구광역시 소속 유 치원, 초등학교, 중학교 226곳을 대상으로 장애이해교육의 실시형태를 조사하였고, 유․초․중학교에 다니는 학생과 교사를 중심으로 설문지법을 이용하여 인식에 대하여 조사하였다. 설문지를 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 장애이해교육의 실태는 장애를 개인적 관점으로 바라보는 장애 체 험 활동을 통한 교육을 가장 활발히 이용했다. 또한 인식 조사에서 장애 이해 교육을 실시한 학생 및 교사들에게서 공통적으로 장애 학생에 대한 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 가져온 것으로 나타났지만 개인적 관념론의 입장으로 여전히 장애 학생들을 몸이 불편하여 도움이 필요한 대상이라고 생각하 는 것이 다수였다. 장애 학생들을 불편한 도움이나 차별의 대상이 아니라 차이로 인식하고 동일한 사회 구성원의 일원으로 생각하기 위해서는 사회적 관념론의 입장에서 장애를 이해하고자 하는 교 육 방식이 보다 시급하게 이루어져야 하겠다.
This study is about to how we should step forward with education for persons with disabilities so as to recognize them on the right way, researching the actual conditions and recognitions of school field conducted teaching for disabled. We survey the actual conditions of 226 kindergartens, elementary, middle and high schools in Daegu and the recognitions of students and teachers, using a type of questionnaires. That is the results to analyze them. In real condition that is mostly the activities about experience of disabilities which are understanding them from a personal view. What is more in recognition survey students and teachers educated for the disabled are commonly effected to look at them in positive ways but they still recognize that the disabled are in need of help as they're just physically uncomfortable. We should recognize the handicapped are not a person to need help, not a person in discrimination but a person in difference. We should set the education for the disabled sooner rather than later on the right roads to understand them in social perspectives that they are the same member of society.
