The function of Chip-hyon-jon was absorbed by Ye-mun-gwan, the academy house. It was not until the time of the King Song-jong that the Kyong-yon system was re-established. The Kyong-yon system mg the former term of the Chosun Dynasty was put into practice very actively with the establishment of Hong-mun-gwan, the academy house. The Kyong-yon system, which was settled completely at the time of the King Song-jong, held its basic form till the latter term of the Chosun Dynasty. And at that time the political function of the Kyong-yon system was enlarged with the establishment of the system which let the Tuk-jin-gwan, special attendant officials, attend the Kyong-yon, The system was once abolished at the period of the King Yon-san, and at the first year of the King Chung-jong the system at the period of the King Song-jong was re-established.
