I have mentioned Dewey's philosophical position affecting American education. First I described the conflicting situation in America which occurs ' from the misinterpretation of Dewey's philosophy. Second, I stated the conflict between reason and experience, and the explanation of experience which is connected with Dewey's theory. American educational institutions above the level of secondary school are still largely presenting students with somebody else's formulated. idea against Dewey's philosophy, and the test of the idea is still under way. The primary schools support Dewey's theory and put his idea into practice.
