이 연구는 시각장애학교 교사들의 전반적인 학교생활에서 겪고 있는 갈등 정도를 조사 분석하여 학교 생활의 질적 향상을 도모하고 만족도를 높이기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위 해 전국 시각장애학교 교사를 187명을 대상으로 35문항의 설문지를 구성하여 조사한 결과를 토대로 요 약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째||| 시각장애학교 교사들의 전체 갈등수준은 보통 수준이다. 이들 갈등유형에서는 ‘행정지원 관계’가 가장 높았고 ‘개인 문제’가 가장 낮았다. 또한 갈등요인에서는 ‘현장감 없는 정책 결정’에서 보통 이상 수준으로 가장 높은 반면||| ‘개인의 소신과 보람’과 ‘개인의 체력 문제’는 보통 이하 수준으로 가장 낮았다. 둘째||| 갈등유형에 따른 배경변인별 갈등지각 수준은 개인 문제에서는 30대 교사가 50대 교사보다 높았고||| 6∼10년차 교사가 가장 높았다. 학생 관계는 31년 이상 교사가 가장 높았고||| 동 료 관계는 30대가 가장 높았다. 관리자와 근무환경 그리고 승진 관계에서는 30대가 20대 교사 보다 높 았고||| 또한 근무환경||| 행정지원 관계에서 6∼10년차 교사가 가장 높았다. 그리고 개인 문제를 제외한 학 생||| 동료||| 관리자||| 학부모||| 근무환경||| 승진||| 변화||| 행정지원 관계 등 모든 관계에서 시각장애교사가 정안교 사보다 높았다. 이러한 연구 결과를 중심으로 후속 연구에 필요한 사항을 제언에 제시하였다.
This study was done to investigate and analyze degree of overall conflicts that teachers in a school for the visually impaired are suffering in their daily school lives and to provide basic materials to improve the quality and satisfaction of school life. To this end||| the result of the questionnaire survey(35 questions) conducted||| of 187 teachers in schools for the visually impaired throughout the nation||| is as follows. First||| the degree of overall conflicts for teachers in schools for the visually impaired is average. By conflict type||| ‘administration and support relation’ was the highest and ‘personal setback’||| the lowest. By conflict factor||| 'the policy decision lacking a sense of reality' is the highest(more than the average level) but ‘personal belief and joy’ and ‘matters of personal stamina’||| the lowest(less than the average level). Second||| in the degree of conflicts perceived||| by background variable in conflict type||| teachers in their thirties were higher than those in their fifties and those with 6 to 10 years of career experience||| the highest. In the student relation||| teachers with more than 31 years of career experience were the highest and in the colleague relation||| those in their thirties||| the highest. In the manager and working environment and promotion relation||| teachers in their thirties were higher than those in their twenties and in the working environment and administration and support relation||| those with 6 to 10 years of career experience||| the highest. Except for personal matter||| in all the relations(student||| colleague||| manager||| parent||| working environment||| promotion||| change||| and administration and support relation)||| visually impaired teachers were higher than sighted teachers. Based on the result of the research||| the requirements in the follow-studies were suggested in the limitation.
