본 연구에서는 시각장애인들이 일반학교에서 가진 경험들을 바탕으로 시각장애학생들의 일반교육 참여에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 시각장애성인들(대학생 2명||| 교사 4명)을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 면담 결과 시각장애인들은 일반학교를 다니는 동안 물리적 어려움을 많이 경험하였으며 정 서적인 어려움 또한 많이 경험하였음을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 연구 참여자들은 오늘날 시각장애학생들의 일반학교 참여를 위해 고려될 요인으로 정서적 환경을 많이 언급하였다. 결국 시각장애학생들의 일반학 교 참여에 영향을 미치는 요인은 물리적 지원과 정서적 환경에서 정서적 환경으로 변해가고 있음을 보여 주고 있다. 이와 함께 본 연구는 적절한 물리적 지원과 교수적 지원이 제공된다면 보다 많은 시각장애학 생들이 일반학교를 선호할 수 있음을 보여주고 있다.
This study attempted to explore the methods for students with visual impairments to participate in general education based on experiences in general schools of people with visual impairments. For the purpose of the study||| adults with visual impairments (2 university students||| 4 teachers) were interviewed. The results from in-depth interviews showed that people with visual impairments experienced many physical difficulties during attending general schools||| and also experienced many emotional difficulties. However||| the participants mentioned emotional environment as a consideration for the participation of general school for present students with visual impairments. Eventually||| factors influencing general school participation of students with visual impairments have changed from physical support and emotional environment to emotional environment. In addition||| this study shows that the appropriate physical support and instructional support can make more students with visual impairments prefer general schools.
