This study aims to explore learners' reasons to use educational applications
for smartphones. For this purpose, data were 76 reflection papers about
experience of educational applications for smartphone. Reflection papers were
collected from 120 undergraduate students at K University. In conclusion, this
study developed six categories(usefulness of functions, usefulness of contents,
usefulness of learning, purposiveness of choice, software accessability, hardware
accessability) to elaborate sixteen further categories(ease of information
acquisition, usefulness of learner control, usefulness of learning support
functions, usefulness of learning management functions, accuracy of contents,
versatile of contents, pleasantness of contents, efficiency, effectiveness, social
value, methodical value, productive value, design aesthetic, intuitive interface,
system stability, portability).
