The purpose of the study was to search for ways to improve character of
students by understanding sport character on elementary physical education. For
such a long period of time, we are conducting character education but there has
never been a moment when we actually offer ways to deal with character
education of the students in school physical education. Nevertheless, we are
looking forward to develop students' character through sport character for the
prevention of school violence. In this focus, the study looked into definitions of
the school violence and the sport character as discussing how to apply the
physical education to the character education. As a consequence, first, the study
looked into causes of personal character, school environments, social on school
violence. Second, the study looked into concepts of the character and character
of physical education. Lastly, the study discussed directions of the character
education for the physical education, ways for the efficient character education
in the physical education, and roles of teachers(modeling, practioner, teacher who
lead to learning for self-learning) that would help the teachers when they try to
conduct the character education.
