국문초록

미국의 예술통합교육의 아이디어는 학교 교과 움직임의 구조적, 개념적, 철학적 개념과 관련 이 된다. 20세기 초, 미국 중등교육교과는 분명하게 예술통합교과의 시리즈로서 지속되고 계속 도전되고 있다. 1918년에 ‘arts integration’, ‘interdisciplinary education’, ‘Integrated curriculum’, ‘correlated curriculum’, ‘fused curriculum’, ‘project curriculum’ 등1)으로 용어가 이미 표기되어 있고 학 생들이 성인의 삶을 준비시키는 의미로 접근하고 있다. 과목 방법론은 아이들의 흥미가 단원이 나 연구 주제별 등으로 제안되고 있어 과목별, 주제별 등 커리큘럼의 체계화를 구축하고 있다. 커리큘럼은 학업의 상호작용, 지식과 인간, 삶의 목적 사이의 관계성을 분명히 하고, 과목별의 상호 관계성 연구, 지적 호기심과 이해의 두 측면을 모두 증진시키기 위해 어떻게 함께 작업이 이뤄져야 하는지 등에 관심을 쏟고 있다. 중등교육 수준에 배움의 통합 의견들과 타학문 분야와 의 제휴를 가지고 과목-특수 학업을 결합한다. 통합예술 초기의 예로 교실에서 영어와 다른 과 목 영역 사이에 교환과 결합 등의 모습으로, 작은 영향이라고 하더라도 이 이론의 기초가 되었 다. 지식과 학문 추구의 통합은 특별한 훈련을 구체화함으로 예술 통합에서 최근 실천이 많이 구성되고 있다.

영문초록

The 21st century economy relies on creative workers with unconventional innovative thinking skills to produce astonishing works and better life styles. US governments recognize that the reformation of American education is significant more and ever for students' success for their future in the global economy. In such a climate, it's society, business and community strengthen arts education essential to workforce. Then what is the key? The key is Arts Integration. Arts Integration is an approach to teach knowledge and skills with art forms such as dance, music, theater and visual arts. It is the link between arts education and other subjects. It is also called the fused curriculum, correlated curriculum, interdisciplinary education, project curriculum, and integrated curriculum. The integrated education in all art forms empowers creativity, understanding, academic achievement and school engagement to students. There are several recommendations for actions to be undertaken in order to nurture integrated arts education by the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities in the US. ? Build collaborations among different approaches (such as federal and state agencies, leaders of professional associations, national leadership organizations, arts specialists, educators in the arts, classroom teachers, etc). ? Develop the field of arts integration and focus on an expansion of arts integration ? Expand in-school opportunities for teaching artists ? Utilize federal and state policies to reinforce the place of arts in K-12 education ? Widen the focus of evidence gathering about arts education The purpose is expansion of access to arts integration in K-12 education and base for high quality arts education. It contributes to the creativity of students, education, the vibrancy of society and the strength of economy & democracy. It is better preparation to compete in the global economy.
