It has been 60 years since Korea began to live with agony of national division. From directly after the liberation, it can be said that historical studies of North and South Korea have gone through different pathways due to the dissimilarity of their own realistic situations. For this reason, two nations, for over sixty years, researched and educated history for their own distinctive purposes and by disparate methodologies. This means that two Koreas each insist their legitimacy of regimes to interpret and educate history. Moreover, there are contentions in international society that North Korea is driving a conflict to dead end, instead of settling it by sincere communication. This kind of behavior of the North does not correspond to what North Korea say it pursues; a united people in a united nation. The North even dared to launch a rocket on 12 December back in 2012, followed by the third nuclear test 12 February following year which left the rest of the world in shock. In this respect, accurate historical knowledge about the provisional government should re-evaluated from both North and South Korean people's point of view, who have to stand the division of territory and the neoliberalism reorganization, to elicit today's practical task from the study.
