The purpose of this study is to conduct a qualitative research on the psychological experiences of
poor women householders' escape from poverty. A qualitative method was applied and data was
collected through literature reviews, observations, and in-depth interviews from January 2010 to July
2013. All the collected data was analyzed through a categorizing method. Phases to be observed
through this research are how the subjects felt, recognized, and behaved through the process of
escaping poverty. As a result, there were differences in each stage and after the escape, subjects
tended to focus on positive changes. Moreover, participants in this research were both psychologically
and emotionally stabilized and positively transformed. They are also leading healthy lives as social
constituents.
