Originally the case of ’modern' was used to the meaning of ’the present age’. but nowadays it was in common used to ’the near past'. Until now the museum has up-to-date character was expressed to ’Museum of Modern Art’, but most recent1y new museums profess ’contemporary’ instead of ’modern’ is a general tendency. In this point we can find the intention what makes a distinction between the ’modern ages' and the ’present ages’. The classification between the two ages is ambiguous but in general it is the influential viewpoint that ’the present age' is after the appearance of the ’pop art'. The museum was expressed to ’modern’ till now, however not only are in charge of prior to the ’pop art' but also include the art up to now, when we take into account the collections and operations of the art museums. In a strict sense these art museums should be represented as the '.\1useum of Modern and Contemporary Art'.
