This article focuses on Handok Medico-Pharma Museum that is the first specialized museum as well as the company museum in Korea. Handok MedicoPharma Museum has been growing constantly with undergoing several changes of its name and moving. In result, Handok Medico-Pharma Museum is housing more than 10,000 western and oriental materials including 6 Korean National Treasures. The materials that show medical and pharmaceutical history are displaying at 3 exhibition rooms, that is Korean room, International room, and Handok historical room. The number of visitors of Handok Medico-Pharma Museum has been sharply increasing since 2003 and passed over 10,000 from 2005. The materials of Handok Medico-Pharma Museum have been supporting for study of medical and pharmaceutical history. Handok Medico-Pharma Museum has been sharply changing since 2006. Handok Medico-Pharma Museum is not only became independent as a cultural foundation, but is going on renovation construction, museum school program, readjustment of its collections' management system and publication of Collection s catalogue. Especially Handok Medico-Pharma Museum has a plan of collecting pharmaceutical materials of end of 19C(l876) to of 1950's. Handok Medico-Pharma Museum will try to revitalize native part of museum with these various activities.
