이 논문에서는 박물관 100주년을 맞이하여 우리나라 박물관 정책 의 역사를 개관해보고자 한 다 우리나라는 정부 주도의 근대화 정책 에 의해 시-회 경 제적 발전을 이룩한 나라이며, 박물관 제도 역시 정부의 박물관 정책에 의해서 큰 영향을 받아왔다 연구자는 지난 100년의 시간을 크게 8개의 시기 - 해방이 전, 미 군정 기, 제 1.2공화국, 제 3. 4공화국, 제 5 .6공화국, 문민정 부, 국민의 정 부, 참여정부 - 로 나누고 시기별로 박물관 정책의 성과와 한계를 살펴보았다 그 리고 마지막으로 향후 정부가 추진해야 할 박물관 정책 의 과제를 제시하였다.
The purpose of the thesis is to review the museum policy of the Korean Government histoIically in order to celebrate the centennial of Korean museums. Korea has accomplished the socio-economical development due to the government-ciIiving modernization. Sin1ilarly Korean museums were influenced deeply by the museum policy of the Government. 1 divided 100 years roughly into eight peIiods - before emancipation, U.S.A Trusteeship. πle 1st & the 2nd Republic, the 3rd & the 4th Republic, the 5th & the 6th Republic, Goverrunent of Civilian, Government of the People and Participatory Government were reviewed outcomes and li.m.itations of the museum policy in each period. In last chapter, 1 proposed se、ve잉r따 tasks of the Government in order to develop Korean museums.
