There were tremendous changes in the world of Korean museums for last ten years. For ex따nple, the national museum was reopened at the new location of Yong-san. Also, 20th general conference of ICOM was successfully held at Seoul for the first time in Asia in hiSt01Y of ICOM. Lastly, tl1e number of Museums was increased at double, which is vely healtl1Y sign for Korean museums. The changes in Korean museums stated above requ ire many international networks to share and collect information ~α understanding of cultural diversity based on cultural relativism and development strategy of museums in the 21st centU1y. A globalized world the Korean museums face witl1 requires a new a worldwide approach, this corresponds to one of the aims that strive to follow such organizations as ASEMUS(Asia Europe Museum Network). ASEMUS is a cross-cultural network of collaboration of museums of the ASEM countries sponsored by tl1e Asian-Europe Foundation for the purposes of promoting wider mutual understanding between the peoples of Asia and Europe by means of collaborative programmes of museum-based cultur띠 ac디vity, stimulating and facilitating tl1e sharing and use of museum coUections of mutual interest and of knowledge about them.
