This study is for the program development of the in-depth art-education
course for pre-service primary teacher education. Thus, the in-depth course and its
programs in every eleven National Universities of Education and Korea National
University in Korea were researched and analyzed, in order to develop the model
program with concrete written coursework. For this study, the questionnaire survey
was executed.
In-depth course and its programs in art education department for pre-service
teachers should be focused not for art majors or education majors, but for
pre-service primary teachers who are art-education majors. It is possible to be
provided for the character of in-depth course program as the college of education
by educate of the special content of the research on the subject education whole
with the art education (theory, didactics, and practice teaching and the major fields
studies(theory, practice, and education of practice) being deeply done as an
educational study through the interaction. This study aimed at the improvement of
the instructional abilities for every expressional and required skills in art subject as
well as research abilities in primary art education for art classes in elementary
school. For the better result in its improvement, researches should be followed.
