현대 사회는 세계화 정보화 시대로 지식이나 정보의 증가가 급속히 이루어지고 있 으며 사회 전반에 걸친 포스트모더니즘의 영향은 자율적이고 다가치적인 사고에 중점 을 두며 교육에서도 개인의 특성을 존중하고 창의적이고 확산된 사고를 격려하고 있 다. 이러한 교육적 변화와 패러다임적 변화의 요구로 교육현장에서 기존의 교사중심의 교육에서 학습자가 스스로 지식을 구성하는 학습자 중심의 교육으로 변화하고 있으며 학습자가 스스로 사고를 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 하는 자기 주도적 학습을 강조한다. 이 러한 자기 주도적 학습방법은 학습자의 사고력을 증진 시키고 능동적이고 자율적으로 미적 경험을 축적 시키는 미술교육에도 효과적으로 적용될 수 있다. 포스트모더니즘의 영향과 더불어 국가， 민족， 문화 간의 문화적 다원주의를 살아가 는 유아들에게 이들과 더불어 살아가야 함을 강조할 필요성이 제기됨에 따라 점차 다 문화 미술교육에 대해 많은 관심을 가지게 되었고 미국의 NAEA(The Nationnal Art Education Association)는 ‘미술교육은 지구촌을 이해시키는 것을 의미 한다’는 새로 운 미술교육 목표를 공식 표명하여 다원론을 배경으로 한 포스트모더니즘의 미술교육 에 관심이 모아지고 있다.
The masterpiece appreciatIon was studied as a painting activity of young children to creatively express themselves. The goal of this study is as follows. 1. How the masterpiece appreciation affects the development of creativity of young children? 2. Does the masterpiece appreciation change the creative drawing expression of young children? At fIrst, the effects of masterpiece appreciation to young children's creativity was examined. The results showed 60.84 for experimental group and 51.78 for control group, which means that the experimental group children got higher record ? for the enhancement of creativity. The results are statistically meaningful: t=5.648, p < 0.001. Therefore, it is inferred that the masterpiece appreciation has positive effects on the development of young children's creativity. Secondly, the effects of the ability of young children's creative drawing expression through masterpiece appreciation was investigated. The average was 2.76 for experimental group and 2.30 for control group, which means that the experimental group has higher record than control group. The differences are meaningfully in statistically : t=5.885, p < 0.001. From this, we deduced that the masterpiece appreciation activity has positive effects on the development of young children's ability of creative drawing expression.
