현대 사회의 예술, 문화, 교육은 다원주의적 접근을 취하고 있으며 미술교육 역시 이에 적합한 연구와 실천을 위한 시도가 행해지고 있다. 최근 우리나라 미술교육의 동향을 살펴보면 세계화, 정보화 시대를 주도할 자율적이고 창의적인 한국인을 육성하려는 다원화, 다문화적인 차원의 교육에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 그동안 우리나라에 다문화 미술교육의 개념이 자리한지 10년이 넘어가고 미술 교과서에서도 다문화 미술교육이 포함되었지만, 아직 학생들은 다문화 교육에 대한 이해도가 부족하다. 또한 다문화 미술교육 프로그램은 다양성의 한계를 극복하지 못하고 있으며 주로 다른 나라와 우리나라의 미술작품 감상 정도를 다루고 있는 실정이다.
The children are taught to respect different cultures. Ethnocentrism is judging another culture by the standards of one’s own culture. But Contact with other cultures can change a culture. And we should respect other people's cultures, religions and customs The object of this study is the program development of Art education for multicultural understanding. And this study has very many educational value. It is also considered as the purpose of today's school education and has a thread of connection with the final goals of 7th education revised bill that makes students develop critical views on art and enjoy art culture along with keeping the intellectual, definitive, and psychological balances through a variety of art activities. This study is deepen one’s understanding of other cultures. That’s what I’m hoping to help the group understand, is the culture through the study. The purpose of this study is to suggest plans to revitalize multi-cultural art educations at the request of the necessity of multi-cultural art education. Learning about other cultures is fun! So I want to expose the kids to as much art and culture as possible.
