Textiles originated at about the same time as human beings and one the oldest things that human use. Textiles begun to be acknowiedged as a material of art from the Bauhaus times(1919-1933) Abstract expression was leading the way to the new era of modern paintings in 1950s. In the 1960’s. informalism dominated Europe and this influences the general art form. Which broke from the traditional art. Finally in 1970’s, modem textile are occupied a solid position as a genuine formative art, showing vivid objectica” expressing article which was influenced by pop art. American’s popular form of art at that times. Textile art, with this background of modern painting history, has expressed in various ways. After showing development in materials, technics and forms, this textile art is divided into two parts. One is Plain expression and the other is Cubic expression. The Plain expression includes embroiders, weavings, ties, kinttings, crocher and dyeings, Each field has its own pictorial character. And of there, embroiderys and dyeings are excectionally notable. Cubic expressions include relief forms and complete. Cubic expressions, or soft scuipture. Rslief forms, which have their origin in collage paintings are expressed in two ways-modem embroidery and quilting technics. After it came to be a form of assemblage is has settled down as a Cubic work using object while soft souluptue which uses modification of objects from every day life getting on the right track. It has also developed as a kinetic art which has similar technics to the one of mobiles in the paintings. In this arts, they hang the objects from the celling, daning, or lay something on the ground. As a conclusion there is as much diversity and as many methods and technics of production as there are in paintings, sculptures and constructions and textiles arts are becoming the formative art of the new style, having the same developmental history as modern art after meeting the expressions and form in the paintings.
