The purpose of this study is to explore the objective and method of career education for
transition of students with intellectual disabilities. To achieve this purpose, this study selected
the research question are that what is the desirable objective and effective method of career
education for transition of students with intellectual disabilities and solve research question
through literature review. The results are as follows;
First, the objective of career education for students with intellectual disabilities is to choose
career suitable for one's aptitude and needs reasonably and to prepare it appropriately so that
it ultimately helps students to enjoy one's satisfaction with quality of life with keeping a job
after graduating the school.
Second, the method of career education for students with intellectual disabilities is to set up
and carry the career plan suitable for each student's aptitude and needs deliberately,
intentionally, and systematically through applying proper resources.
Therefore, career education of students with intellectual disabilities is mandatory curriculum
for successful transition after graduating schools.
