This thesis on the viewing and appreciating program for youngsters that Sookmyung Womens’ University museum’s been researched and developed from 1995 until now. Our museum wants to, through research for viewing and appreciating education, present the desirable direction of youngster museum education in which anyone can experience our traditional treasures and cultural values. Nowadays, group viewing and cultural survey of students for museum is increasing much more than before. There are many multi-dimensional studying effect in visiting the museum which cannot be obtained in text book, this is why many teachers choice to visit the museum instead of the invaluable school hours. The effect of the this education is related with the knowledge of schools, however many peoples, taking this opportunity, want to be familiar with the arts and culture and have an mind to obtain the knowledge by their own. In our programs, anyone can contact the real treasure of our predecessorss, which help the youngsters experience the feeling of impression. The principal purpose of this program is to provide the people with the place of feeling, such as feeling of “pleased” or “like to visit again”. The program of museum education for youngsters should act as medium to give historical and esthetic feeling to students and to make the youngsters obtain the way of appreciation of their own, moreover to have a continuous interest of arts and cultural values.
