이 연구는 한국청소년개발원에서 실시한 ‘한국청소년패널조사(Korea Youth Panel Survey)’ 데이터 를 사용하여 중학생과 고등학생의 학교적응도 추이를 분석 하였다. 청소년기의 발달적 특성과 학교 기능을 비추어 볼 때 청소년의 학교적응은 교육적, 발달적 측면에서 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 이 연 구는 학업부담이 점차 가중되는 시기인 중?고등학생의 학업수행 정도가 학교적응에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 확인하였다. 또한 학업수행과 학교적응과의 인과관계가 중학교에서 고등학교로 진급하였 을 때 어떤 변화를 나타내는지 탐색하였다. 학업수행은 공부, 과외, 학업성적으로 측정하였으며 학 교적응은 사회적응과 정의적응을 측정한 잠재변인이다. 분석대상은 중?고등학생 1,781명이며, 학업 수행과 학교적응과의 인과관계를 구조방정식모형을 구성하여 중학교에서 고등학교까지 추이를 탐 색하는 방법을 사용하였다. 분석결과는 한국사회 청소년인 중?고등학생의 학업수행에 따른 학교적응의 추이를 확인할 수 있으며, 이것은 청소년의 건강한 발달과 학교교육의 효율성 제고를 위한 정보와 시사점을 제공할 것이라 여겨진다.
This study is to analyze the school adjustments of the Korean adolescents from junior high schools to high schools longitudinally, using a sample from Korea Youth Panel Survey, which is conducted by Korea Institute for Youth Development, In considering the nature of adolescents and schools, the school adjustments for adolescents have great significance for the education and development perspectives. However, since adolescents belong to many types of social environments, there is a limit to explaining the school adjustments simply. This study examined how and to what degree the academic performance influences the school adjustments and analyzed the changed effects of the school adjustments from junior high schools to high schools. The sampling is done with 1,781 students of junior high and high schools, and the structural equation model consists of 5 latent and 12 observed variables. This study showed that the academic performances influence the school adjustments and the connections change the effects. It also provides a framework for promoting the sound development of adolescents and raising the educational efficiency.
