The ecological crisis that mankind faces today jeopardizes even the existence of all the living things. The ecophilosophy has been born to get over this crisis. It is very meaningful to see what educational issues the ecophilosophy has. In this study, the ecoeducational implications were under research focucing on social ecology by Murray Bookchin. Considering ecological problems to be the very social ones, he insisted that criticizing and deconstructing hierarchy or mastery be the only way to escape from the present ecological crisis. Stressing the human reason which was not welcomed in the deep-ecology that only emphasized the interconnectedness of living things, he proposed dialectical reason as a solution instead of conventional reason since he thought the conventional reason caused today\'s ecological crisis. Also, he regarded human as having self-consciousness, cooperation, responsibility for life and ethics of complementarity. These views are closely related to post-modernistic educational views. With these things in mind, here are studied the contents and characteristics of social ecology by Murray Bookchin, and discussed a new eco-educational view and practical plans for them.
