본 연구는 웹상에서 학습기술을 측정할 수 있도록 중학생용 간편형 표준화 학습기술 검사를 개발하고 그 타당성을 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. 우선, 학습기술 검사의 구성요인을 탐색했는데 이는 학습목표관리 기술, 시간 및 환경관리 기술, 수업참여 기술, 정보처리 기술, 자율학습 기술, 학습동기조절 기술, 시험보기 기술이었다. 그 다음, 이들 하위요인에 적합한 예비검사 문항을 개발하여 검사를 실시한 후 문항을 수정, 보완하여 본검사를 구성하였다. 본검사의 연구대상은 중학교 남학생 1154명, 여학생 1391명으로 총 2545명이었다. 본검사의 신뢰도는 알파계수와 재검사 신뢰도를 통해 알아보았고 검사의 타당도는 내용타당도와 준거 관련 타당도를 통해 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 본 검사의 신뢰도와 타당도는 적절한 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of the study was to develop the Short-Form Study Skills Inventory for middle school students. The participants of the study were the 2545 middle school students from 23 schools in Korea. The Study Skills Inventory consisted of 7 scales. They were learning goal management skill, time and study environment management skill, classroom participation skill, information-processing skill, self-directed study skill, study-motivation control skill, and test-taking skill. The findings were as follows; (1) There were significant relationships between Study Skills and students\' school achievements. (2) The Study Skills Inventory showed relatively high correlations with the Study Skills Inventory developed by Chang-jin Byun (3) The test-retest reliabilities(two weeks interval) ranged from .704 to .784. The coefficient alpha reliabilities ranged from .675 to .821. The Study Skills Inventory will help middle school students and their parents to understand the weak and strong points of the students’ study skills and help counselor to collect information for the students\' learning process. Also, it will help teachers to teach study skills to the students in their class and researchers to measure students’ study skills
