This study investigates 198 military wives in order to find out the prevalence and the respondents' personal and psychological characteristics, and their husbands’ job and family related characteristics of the family strengths. The results from the research were 1) the degree of their family strengths is a little more higher than the other families. 2) there are significant differences between the respondents' education, health condition and their perceived family strengths. 3) factors influencing on the family strengths are the respondents' health condition, living together or not, depression, self-esteem, marital satisfaction, military family sprit, perception of family problems. This findings give us several meaningful implications for military policy and practice related with supporting military families. Finally, based on the findings the researcher recommends that effective strategies for sustaining the family strengths of military families are needed.
