본 연구는 다섯 명의 현직 초등학교 교사들의 협력적 실행연구로서, 학생 자치를 기반 으로 한 선거교육 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 하고 있다. 선거교육 프로그램은 연구 참여자들의 토의를 거쳐 학교 현장에서 실제적으로 활용할 수 있는 형태로 개발되었다. 토의과정에서 확인 된 연구 참여자들의 주요 문제의식은 기존의 학급임원선거에서 지나치게 형식적인 공약이 주를 이루고, 학생 자치와 연결된 고민이 부족하다는 것이었다. 이에 따라 개발된 프로그램은 크게 세 단계로 요약할 수 있다. ‘내가 원하는 우리 반의 모습을 생각해보고 친구들과 공유하기’, ‘나 의 공약 만들기’, ‘입후보자의 공약 평가하기’가 그것이다. 1차 실행 결과, 연구자마다 실제 적용 과정에서 프로그램의 초점이 조금씩 다르다는 것이 확인되었다. 또한 교수학습방법과 학습지의 형식 및 내용에서 문제점이 발견되었다. 이에 따라 수업 단계를 보다 세분화하고, 동시에 프로그 램의 부분적 활용 가능성을 높일 수 있도록 프로그램을 수정하였다. 또한 교사에 따른 학습활동 의 다양성을 보장하고자 하였다. 앞으로 본 연구는 수정된 프로그램을 바탕으로 2차 실행을 통 한 반성, 그리고 다시 수정, 실행, 반성으로 이어지는 개발 과정을 지속해 나갈 예정이다.
This study is to develop an election education program based on student autonomy with collaborative action research by five elementary school teachers. The program was developed through researchers' discussion to be adapted the to real field of elementary school. Researchers had a common perception that it was the problem that the formal election for students representative of the class was ruled by meaningless campaign promises. It doesn't have enough time to consider the relationship between student autonomy and their representative election either. So the developed program is expected to solve these problems. The program was consisted of three steps. ‘Think about the class that I want, then share my ideas with my classmates’, ‘Making my campaign promises’, ‘Evaluating candidates' campaign promises’. After conducting the first lesson, it was found that the focus of each lesson by researchers was different. There were errors in teaching techniques as well as students activity sheets. Based on these findings, the program was modified to have more detailed steps and make for a way to be partly used. It was also guaranteed to have a variety of students activities from the teachers' viewpoint. This study is going to be continued to conduct the second lessons, reflection, modification and re-conducting of the third lessons.
