Kitsch has been denounced as a cheap obscene picture or artistic waste and its consciousness of beauty has been regarded as the opposite definition to art. Also, since it lacks creativity and is filled with hackneyed imitation, forgery and formal falsehood, it has been regarded as trying to incite only transient pleasure. On the contrary, this rather gives Kitsch the role of pathway, through which art may make access rapidly and closely to the public in the most realistic sense. Though Kitsch is formally regarded as the representation of shallow tastes such as imitation and copying, it is an art from the bottom, which comes out of the public\'s life and represents ethnic sentiments and faith, and reveals the beauty consciousness. Children who are contemporaries like adults learn the culture, artistic styles and fashion of the contemporary era and form their own children culture in the course of seeing, listening, and imitating them. This influences children in expressing themselves, representing their own individuality and their desire in art. This mechanism is directly associated with children\'s culture or art education for children. This study identifies the meaning of Kitsch, its artistic characteristics, and the relationship between the contemporary mass culture and Kitsch, and explores any implications which are given by Kitsch to the artistic education for consumers and the artistic education as an artistic culture education.
