Emotional intelligence can be developed by education. Especially Elementary school suudents is more important period to develop their Emotional intelligence because they are growing now. So the puopose of this study is to improved elementary middle grade student\'s emotional intelligence through special fine art program. Based on Salovey & Mayer\' theory, they said art is subject which is related with emotional intelligence very closely. I established teaching-learning program. After I applied that program to fourth grade student, I compared and analyzed the paintings and attituded between prior to the application and end of the application. In their paintings, we cad absorved mnay changes. Most extinguished change is to become rich at the expression of their theme. Especially facial expression is varied because they can know about many feelings and empathies. Next they intrested in this program and they evaluted it very helpful to accumualte their thinking. Beacause emotional intelligence have so many complicated factors, It is impossible to eveualte the extetion of improvement exactly, but I divided this program into five steps. first step is composed with three activities which accomplish emotional cognition, and second is emotional expression, third is emotional empathy, fourth is emotional control, fifth is emotional using. Each step is arranged from low level to high level. If students had experienced this program, they would have special eyes about them-selves, their friends and their enviroment. Through application this program, I concloud these results. Through above results, we can fine art is a effective way to improve emotional intelligence. emotional intelligence is a very improtant factor for human happiness with knowledgible intelligence. In this stuey , I Focused on just five emotional intelligence, but I hope more study about other foactors of emotional intelligence cna be accomplished in the future.
