이 연구는 대학생의 학업성취도에 따른 지연행동과 시간관리 행동 경향을 규명하였다. 대학생 526명의 지연행동 측정척도(PASS)와 시간관리 측정척도(TMB) 응답결과와 이들의 학업성취도(GPA)를 얻어 다음의 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 학업성취도가 낮은 학생들이 높은 학생들에 비해 목표설정 및 우선순위를 하지 않고, 시간관리 기술이 부족하며, 지각된 시간 통제력이 낮고, 조직화를 선호하지 않는다. 둘째, 학업성취도가 낮은 학생들이 높은 학생들과 비교하였을 때, 보고서 쓸 때, 시험공부 할 때, 행정상 일을 처리할 때, 적극적인 참여를 할 때 지연행동을 더 자주 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학업성취도가 낮은 집단의 학생들이 높은 집단의 학생들보다 불안 정도와 완벽성향이 더 강하고, 과제에 대한 혐오감과 성공에 대한 두려움이 더 크며, 자기신뢰 및 자기주장을 하지 않고, 시간관리 능력이 서툴며, 통제에 대한 반발심이 더 세고, 모험을 감수하려는 경향이 강하며, 동료들의 영향에 쉽게 좌지우지되기 때문에 지연행동을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다.
This study investigated college students\' time management and procrastination on college grade. 526 college students completed a self-report questionnaire on procrastination (PASS) and time management(TMB). College grade point average(GPA) scores were obtained from college records. Academic ability level was divided into low and high levels, based on students\' college grade point average(GPA). The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, a low achieving group is less to set the goals and priorities and to prefer for organization than a high achieving group. And a low achieving group has poorer time-mechanics and lower perceived control of time than a high achieving group. Second, low achieving students procrastinate more than high achieving students when they write term papers, study for exams, and do administrative tasks and attendance tasks. Third, generally the reason that low achieving students procrastinate isn\'t different from that of high achieving students. But low achieving students is higher than high achieving students in anxiety, perfectionism, aversiveness of the task, lack of self-confidence, lack of assertion, fear of success, poorly manage time, rebellion against control, risk-taking, and peer influence.
