경찰과 경비원의 협력방안이 범죄예방에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경찰의 경우 민간경비원과 경찰간의 업무협조와 합동수행은 범죄예방 기여에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 업무협조와 합동수행이 잘 되면 범죄예방 역시 잘 될 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 범죄예방에 대한 기여도를 파악한 결과를 보면, 민간경비원의 경우 공경비의 민영화로 인한 치안서비스의 부유층 편중은 범죄예방 기여에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 이는 치안서비스가 부유층에게 편중된다면 범죄예방이 잘 되지 않을 수 있음을 보여준다. 셋째, 민간경비원과 경찰의 협력이 범죄예방 업무수행 만족에 미치는 영향은, 경찰의 경우 민간경비원과 경찰간의 업무협조는 범죄예방 업무수행 만족에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 업무협조가 잘되면 업무수행 만족 또한 높게 나타나고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 민간경비원의 경우, 민간경비원과 경찰간의 업무협조는 범죄예방 업무수행 만족에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 업무협조가 잘되면 업무수행 만족 또한 높다. 민간경비원과 경찰의 협력이 범죄예방에 미치는 영향을 보면, 경찰은 민간경비원과의 업무협조와 합동수행이 범죄예방에 기여하는 것으로 평가하고 있다. 또한 업무협조는 범죄예방업무수행 만족에도 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 민간경비원은 공경비의 민영화로 일부 부유층에 치안서비스가 평중될 경우 범죄예방이 어려워질 수 있음을 우려하고 있다. 그러나 경찰과의 업무협조가 잘 되면 범죄예방 업무수행 만족이 높아질 수 있다는 것이다.
This Paper is dealing with the effectiveness to the crime prevention by the combined security system of the private security and the public security(the Police). In the western countries the public and the private security have well co-operated each other in terms of the job distribution. But our country’s The private security has not much serviced in the crime prevention. The public security system has in limited capability to prevent the crime, therefore the co-production through with The private security industry and the community network are required to prevent and reduce the crime we are facing on. The followings are the result of survey on the prevention of crime through The combined security system(co-production) of The police, the private security and the community network; 1) The private security could be a big help to the police work if the two system can be co-operated smoothly. 2) The crime prevention could be not good worked out if police work would only be in the upper level class. 3) The job satisfaction is a positive if the co-operation between the police and the private security is on well.
