The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between early childhood pre-service teachers’
perceived makeup image as a kindergarten teacher and their makeup involvement in employment. For this
study, data were collected by sending a questionnaire by mail or delivering it in person to 114 students
of Early Childhood Education at N University in G City during the period from November 4 to
December 2, 2014. Collected data were analyzed through ANOVA, Scheffe’s post-hoc test, and simple
regression analysis. According to the results of this study, first, early childhood pre-service teachers
perceived the natural image as the makeup image of a kindergarten teacher. In the results of analyzing
difference in pre-service teachers’ perceived makeup image as a kindergarten teacher according to their
school year and practice experience, significant difference was observed in attractive image, elegant image,
and preference according to school year. In addition, attractive image and preference were significantly
different according to practice experience. Second, in the results of analyzing the influence of image
making image on makeup involvement in employment, natural image and attractive image had a
statistically significant effect on the sub-factors of involvement in employment such as meaning of
involvement, interest of involvement, and importance of involvement.
